Renewable Enerby Engineer

The primary duties shall be to support the US Department of Energy (DOE) Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy (EERE) Program at the Golden Field Office. This position directly supports DOE funded research and development of new technologies in the area of renewable energy. The primary functions of the position are to support the award/grant process, budget management, R&D oversight, and close-out. The position requires a high level of diplomacy in developing relationships with a variety of institutions including government, laboratories, private industry, and academia as well as internal Golden Field Office groups.



The candidate will communicate directly with a variety of groups within the Golden Field Office including project management, procurement, environmental, financial, and legal staff. In addition, the candidate will have contact with DOE Headquarters, National Laboratories, private industry, state/local governments, professional organizations, industry advocates, universities, and award/grant recipients.
