Commissioning Manager

Description

An international renewable energy development company, is currently seeking candidates for an experienced, full-time Commissioning Manager, to be based in the company headquarters. The position will report directly to the Director of Technical Support.

Responsibilities of the Position Include:

? Onsite oversight and direction of all industrial, commercial-scale renewable facility start-up and commissioning activities
? Review facility systems and equipment, design and construction plans, and other site-related studies and documents as needed
? Perform quality control inspections during the final stages of the construction process
? Identify and swiftly address errors, problems, inconsistencies, and/or safety hazards in all aspects of facility operation during the commissioning period
? Generate regular reports in regards to initial energy production rates
? Work closely with the Director of Health and Safety to design and implement policies and procedures to ensure that quality and safety standards are met during commissioning
? Participation in training course in Madrid, Spain, immediately following hire

Requirements
Candidates are Required to Possess the Following:

? Bachelor?s Degree in relevant field of study (i.e. Engineering, Construction, Power and Energy Systems, etc.)
? Between 5 ? 10 years of experience commissioning and/or operating commercial-scale power plant facilities, including experience in analyzing and troubleshooting complex mechanical systems
? 4 or more years C&I or electrical experience in onsite construction
? Proficiency in MS Office, particularly MS Excel
? Ability to perform physically demanding work for extended periods of time during start-up of plant
? Willingness to travel approximately 75% of the time within the U.S. and re-locate for short-term assignments
? Excellent oral and written communication skills
? Experience in leading, influencing, and motivating a team
? Proven ability to consistently get results and achieve time-sensitive goals and milestones; strong commitment to the job; ability to flexibly adapt to change and challenges, ability to work calmly under pressure and exercise good judgment

Candidates are Preferred, but not Required, to Possess the Following:

? Knowledge of written and/or conversational Spanish
? Experience in the renewable energy industry
